Holiday BLOg hop

'Tis the Season!
For us the Christmas Season is full of warmth and fuzzies! The dark palette of the smallest of rooms instantly comes to life with ornaments old and new, and combinations of traditional colors and fabrics. Throw in a strap of Belsnickel bells and the space is complete! Cherish the old, embrace the new… after all, these pieces are simply heirlooms in waiting.
Because we decorate so early, artificial pine is the way to go in our home. Though we love the smell of real (we hide a Rosy Rings Bay Garland sachet in the tree) this pine is pretty close to perfect!

It’s a Wonderful Life starts playing in our home on regular rotation starting November first. Therefore in a nod to Clarence bells must be apart of our Christmas décor. This rooms leans towards a traditional study with animal trophies, so naturally Belsnickel bells feel right at home on the mantel. We ring them a few times knowing Clarence has definetly earned his wings. These sleigh bells are handcrafted and are the pieces I envision my children pulling out year after year.
Pender & Peony adds Rosy Rings Bay Garland Sachet to add a real pine smell to the artificial greenery.
Though one tree is simply not enough to fill me up for Christmas, this tree holds all the warm memories that we love to bring out each year. Especially the dozens of paper ornaments that were gifted to my late grandfather by his Navy buddy. Each one has messages of friendship, playful banter or simply Merry Christmas old pal.
